Hot Shot’s Secret® Tick Fix + Protect™ is an advanced oil enhancer for gasoline-powered engines that restores smooth performance, reduces unwanted engine noise, and delivers unmatched wear protection.
Engineered to address the root cause of valvetrain wear and hydraulic lifter malfunction, Tick Fix + Protect™ targets the damaging conditions found in modern engines with stop/start systems, displacement-on-demand, and hybrid technology. These designs often interrupt the constant flow of oil to certain lifters, causing localized heat buildup. Over time, that heat begins to cook the oil in those areas, turning it into carbon, burnt oil and varnish that clog tiny oil passages and prevent lifters from operating smoothly. When lifters stick or collapse, it disrupts proper valve operation, accelerates camshaft wear, and can lead to catastrophic failure.
Formulated with our proprietary FR3 Nano Technology® and a complete additive package that meets the dexos™1 GEN 3 specification, Tick Fix + Protect™ replaces one quart of oil in 4–8 quart systems supplementing your host oil’s chemistry. Tick Fix + Protect™ uniquely lubricates and cleans at the same time. By cleaning away harmful deposits, it restores full lifter function while reducing wear by up to 30%* — restoring performance, and extending engine life.
Tick Fix + Protect™ helps to reduce the infamous LS and HEMI engine lifter tick, quiet noisy valvetrains, and prevent future wear in modern powertrains. Including but not limited to: stop/start, hybrid, and displacement-on demand engines.

Most items are eligible for return within 30 days of shipping, provided they are unused, in original manufacturer packaging, and in resalable condition. All returns & cancellations are subject to restocking and cancellation fees.
Returns must include a Return Authorization Number (RA #) and be shipped with tracking. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Custom/special orders, electronics, and digital goods are final sale—no returns, refunds, or exchanges.
