2005-2010 Duramax LBZ/LMM TransGo Jr. Valve Body Repair Kit (SK-ALLISON-JR)

This TransGo Allison-Jr SHIFT KIT® Valve Body Repair Kit fits 2005 to 2010 General Motors vehicles equipped with the Allison 1000, 2000 and 2400 six-speed automatic transmission.

Note: The five-speeds have an external MLP switch, while the six-speeds have an internal MLP switch.

This kit can be installed in 2001 to 2005 vehicles with the Allison five-speed transmission, however, using this kit with these first design earlier five-speeds will not provide the 111% increase in torque capacity needed for 4th and 5th gear. Repeated failure of the C2 on these five-speed units is a common complaint, therefore we highly recommend installing part # ALLISON SK instead of this Allison-Jr for these early five speed units.

Common complaints on this transmission are: neutralizes under heavy load in 4th or 5th, stuck in one gear as well as gear ratio and solenoid performance codes.

Features and benefits:
The included valve body components in this kit are designed to provide substantial gains in friction plate durability. With this kit installed, the friction torque capacity of the holding clutches and brakes in 2nd through 6th gear is increased by approximately 100% when the lock-up clutch is off and line pressure is at maximum. Since transmission removal is not required, install it before adding engine horsepower to prevent internal damage.
