The CCS EcoDiesel HPTuners Package is designed for diesel enthusiasts who want to optimize their vehicle’s performance. It provides a set of tools and software that allow you to fine-tune your ECM parameters.
How Does It Work?
- For 2014-2019 EcoDiesel load the new tune files onto your MPVI2 or MPVI3 (HPTuners devices).
- Plug the device into your vehicle’s OBDII port.
- Initiate the flashing process to update the ECM with the customized tune.
Benefits:
Convenience: For 2014-2019 - no need to ship your ECM away; everything happens right in your garage. 2020-2023 will require ECM to be sent into HP Tuner to be unlocked + as well as an SGM Bypass cable.
Flexibility: You can experiment with different tunes and adjust settings according to your preferences.
Performance: Unlock additional horsepower, torque, and fuel efficiency.

2020-2023 REQUIRES ECM SENT INTO HP TUNERS TO BE UNLOCKED + SGM BYPASS CABLE
2020+ JEEP/RAM ECO DIESELS MAY REQUIRE A PCM MODIFICATION SERVICE TO UNLOCK THE PCM BEFORE TUNING.
Do not try and flash the stock read back into the ECM, it is a backup only. Flashing it in will burn extra credits.
MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING THE VCM SUITE BETA VERSION AND ALSO MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO UPDATES BY CLICKING HELP AND THEN ABOUT ON THE VCM EDITOR (BETA) WINDOW. MOST ECO DIESEL'S NEED A PATCH FILE TO BE FLASHED INTO THE PCM BEFORE BEING ABLE TO GET A FULL STOCK READ FILE, AS SOON AS YOU GO TO READ OUT THE STOCK FILE, IT WILL PROMPT YOU TO DO THE FOLLOWING.
Step 1: Connect to the truck with HPTuners and open VCM Editor (BETA) on your computer.
Step 2: Go to Take a stock read of the truck, it will then give the following prompt
Step 3: It will ask to create a patch file which it will also ask you to save do so and save it as _MOD.hpt or whatever you like.
Step 4: Flash in the patch file that you saved, then you will be able to get a consistent read afterwards.
To close out of the patch file to get the stock read, look at the top left of the VCM editor window and you will see a folder that when you hover over it with your mouse will say: "CLOSE", click that and then read out the stock file and attach it to this order.
