The factory valve cover wiring harness connector is prone to damage and corrosion, which can lead to a host of issues from check engine lights to a poorly running engine. When it comes time to fix this issue, sure, you could replace the entire harness if the connector gets damaged, but its relatively expensive and a lot of work!
